Basics
Name: Odessa Maia MooreName Meanings: Odessa is of Greek origin, meaning "along journey; full of wrath". It is also the Feminine form of Odysseus. Maia is of Greek origin, quite literally as Maia is the mother of Hermes. The names means "great; mother; brave warrior". The surname Moore is of Old English origin, meaning what it sounds like, the moors.
Nicknames: She is called Dess or Dessa by some of her friends or half-siblings.
Ethnicity: Her family originated from Scotland, of the O'Moore family, and migrated to the United States in the 1820's. They first settled in Virginia, and the progressively moved West as the decades wore on. Odessa has a bit of German, Irish, and Alaskan Native in her from other people that her family married to.
Title: Golden Apple Thief (No one calls her that, she just wrote it on a piece of paper and stuck it above her bed).
Birthplace: Odessa was born and raised in an old town called Marietta, which is located in the state of Ohio.
Other Residences: First an orphanage, then a foster home as she and her younger brother, Devin, got older.
Education: Washington Elementary School, Marietta Middle School

Physical Appearance
Hair Color: Jet black. She often puts dark blue highlights whenever she feels like it.

Skin Color: During the summer, her skin is lightly tanned, as she burns easily. During this time her cheeks are often flushed, and her freckles are slightly visible. During the winter, her skin is a bit paler, her freckles are more visible, and both her nose and cheeks are flushed.
Height: Five feet and 3 and one-fourth inches. She grows about half an inch over a year.
Weight: 126.7 lbs.
Body: A thin, slender body, and although she's thin, she eats as much as she can.
Usual Camp Clothing: Normally during the summer, she wears just a Camp Half-Blood T-Shirt with a pair of jeans or shorts, and she almost always has her winged sneakers. During the Fall, Spring, (sometimes summer days) she will wear her favorite brown leather jacket.
Other clothing: If you don't catch her wearing her usual camp clothing, she usually will wear some type of blue shirt, or a graphic T-Shirt (you can often see her wearing video game shirts like Minecraft or Super Mario Bros). She prefers jeans over other types of pants, though during the winter you can sometimes find her in jogging pants. She'll sometimes wear boots, though she is usually seen in Nike sneakers (a prank from the Nike Cabin, which replaced all the Hermes Cabin's regular shoes with Nike gear.)
Other: Odessa has a long, jagged scar along her right arm, which she obtained from her quest. She also has a mole below her belly button.
Personality
Character Traits: Odessa is generally nice to everyone. She is compassionate in what she does, and when she is set onto something she is determined to finish it. She will a lot to protect her friends, loyal to the heart, though she's only like this to her closest friends. She is smart and quick-minded. For years of taking care of her younger brother, Devin, she has developed the caring heart of protecting who she loves, (what's another term for 'motherly'?). Whenever she sees a friend or just somebody who is feeling upset or depressed, its her job to help them become happy again. Even though she has a caring personality, she can be a bit big-headed, impolite, and rude, such as interrupting a conversation to put her words in or say something that she think is right when it could be wrong. Odessa can be a bit competitive, especially when it comes to racing, though she is more along the lines of the Hare in The Tortoise and the Hare story. She's a laid-back kind of person, kind of lazy at times, though when excited or something the she'll be very energetic. Odessa can be a bit arrogant at times, she can be indifferent from another's feelings (to the point where doesn't notice at all). Judgmental sometimes, she often looks at a person and assumes what they would be like. This isn't always good.Fatal Flaw: Ambition - Odessa works hard to achieve what she wants, and it sometimes drives other, more important tasks out of her mind. She likes leadership, and tries hard to get leader-like roles. If she's offered leadership, she's tempted to take it.
Fears: Odessa hates frogs, and refuses to touch one. She especially hates bullfrogs. Odessa also has a fear of the open sea, as many horrors could be in its midst, or simply because she's not a big fan of beaches. She also has a childhood fear of griffins, though she doesn't know why.
Hobbies: One of her favorite camp activities is chariot-racing. She enjoys the rush and bumps of the chariot, the way the horses' tails swish as they gallop, the excitement of passing by another charioteer. Even though she often loses, she still loves it. Odessa also loves to hike. If possible, you could stumble upon her in the camp woods, in full hiking gear and with a simple walking stick. Other hobbies include pegasus-back riding, climbing (trees, jungle-gyms, the Lava Wall), or just hanging out with friends.
Hates Doing: Odessa has always hated cleaning, and when she was younger, her room was almost always impossible to walk through. During Cabin Inspections, she often just stuffs everything under the beds and hope for the best.
Favorite Colors: Cyan blue (basically her theme color), blues and greens.
Least Favorite Color: Greyscale colors.
Favorite Foods: Odessa's favorite type of food is junk food. Either its pizza, hamburgers, french fries, donuts, and so on, she'll eat it. Her favorite type of pizza is the New England Greek pizza. And just to tell you, it's not because she is a Greek Demigod, its just her kind of pizza. She also loves bacon cheeseburgers. Toast (buttered with a sprinkle of cinnamon-sugar), various types of pasta, carrots, bananas, apples, and celery are other kinds of food she'll eat.
Least Favorite Food: Seafood. Ever since she was a little kid, she hated any food that came from the sea. She also dislikes most vegetables and some fruits.
Favorite Drink: Various brands of soda, such as Coke, Root Beer, and Sierra Mist, although she is often seen carrying a waterbottle.
Least Favorite Drink: Tea. The smell (and taste) of tea makes her want to vomit.
Favorite Scent: Wood smoke. (She likes the smell of it, but if she takes in too much of the smoke then no XD)
Least Favorite Scent: Cigarette smoke.
Favorite Time of Year: Summer.
Least Favorite Time of Year: Winter. She hates the cold, the snow makes it worse, and she despises cold weather in general.
Favorite Time of Day: Noon. It's the moment of the day when she is fully wide awake and bursting with energy.
Least Favorite Time of Day: Morning, or early morning. She's a sleeper, prefers to sleep-in, and hates waking up early.

Least Favorite Weather: When it is hailing. Cold and hard? No way!
Favorite Animal: Odessa loves turtles. She once had a pet turtle when she was young, but it "ran way", or so her mother said.

Favorite songs/music genre: It may seem unlikely, but Odessa actually likes to listen to instrumental music, most of the time without voices. (Just to add, she's also a terrible singer, not that she every tries).

Fighting
Style: One-hand combat.Weapons: A Celestial Bronze sword called O Kleftis, magic golden floss (she never uses it, as she thinks it's a sick joke from her father).
Strengths: After practicing, failing, and practicing again, she's handy with a sword. She's good at dodging attacks.
Weaknesses: Easily distracted. She's terrible with a bow (she lets her best friend Nathan do the bow shooting), spears, and other far-range weapons. She can be a bit clumsy, and she's not exactly agile, either.
Powers: Not very many powers. The only magical ability she actually has is opening locks by concentrating (when she does this, her face gets a bit funny). A bit more speedy than the average human, and a bit athletic, even though she's not a fan of sports. She can kind of sense physical traps, as it is a common ability with the Hermes children, though she never discovered this ability. As a Hermes kid, she is a bit persuasive, good with alchemy and potions, good with money, and skilled at theft and trickery.

- Blaze Kingsley, a daughter of Hephaestus, and a year older, is the best friend she ever asked for. They do lots of things together. They often combine their skills to prank their friends or people they dislike. The two besties met each other when Odessa first arrived at camp (Blaze has been at camp for a few years). Blaze was picked by one of the Head-Counselors to show Odessa around Camp (with Devin being toured with a different camper), and during the tour they found that they shared many qualities, and many differences as well. One of the similarities is a dislike of cold weather. One of their differences is that Odessa really loves sweet things while Blaze just adores anything sour or hot. The two girls has had some fights, as best friends sometimes do, but they always make up. When Blaze acts immature, such as making inappropriate noises or jokes, Odessa just goes along with it, as she wouldn't let Blaze down, even though Blaze has let her down a few times. But hey, friends are forever, right? (*someone from the distance*: Not!)

Background:
Odessa Maia Moore was born on July 25, 1997, in a hospital located in Marietta, Ohio, USA. Her mother, Molly Moore, was an archaeologist that required her to travel frequently. Odessa (and Devin) had inherited her blue eyes and dark hair. Before Odessa was born, Molly wanted to settle down and make a family, at least for a bit. On a plane toward her hometown, she fell hard for the man who sat beside her on the plane, who claimed to be on a delivery. The two exchanged phone numbers, and they later met again at a local diner. After several weeks together, Molly found that she was pregnant, and the man mysteriously left. A little heartbroken, Molly was left to raise the child on her own. Yet she couldn't resist the urge to keep on traveling, maybe to even see the man she met again. During the months at a time she would be gone, she left her daughter in the care of her sister, Marie Holt (née Moore). Four years after the birth of Odessa, she once again met the man, quite on accident. The man finally introduced his name, Hermes, and he told her that he actually did miss her (even though she was a mere mortal), and after a month together again, Hermes left as suddenly as the last time. She figured out that she was going to have yet another child, and she named him Devin Alexander Moore, after her father. After this, she gave up on her children, and left them in the care of the orphanage.Growing up, Odessa was a troublesome child. To get her way, she would often act sweet and innocent, then go behind the adults and do what she wished. In school, she often had very few friends, as people singled her out as different and often bullied her, or her younger brother as a way to get to her. After an incident which resulted in a near-death experience with Devin, Odessa vowed to protect him from anything that might harm him. Odessa generally disliked school, mostly because of how the students ignored her. She had trouble making friends, and the only friend she managed to keep for few years was a guy named Leroy Sapwood, who was never seen without his baseball cap, baggy pants and hightops, with a strict vegan diet. During 8th grade, when both Odessa and Devin were in middle school, they were called to the guidance office around in December. Thinking they were in trouble, which was common, Leroy followed them. One of the teachers, Mrs. Ripper, who had a particular distaste in the Moores, asked them several questions about an accident during lunch the other day, and impatience resulted her forming into a ravenous, hideous hag-like creature, and Leroy took the chance to knock her out with an electric pencil sharper.
After some short explanations, Leroy revealed himself to be a satyr, and brought them to Camp Half-Blood. After some more explaining, a few tours, and proof that Chiron has a horse butt, Odessa and Devin started out their lives at Camp Half-Blood.
